Our Story

Sparky Alliance was formed after the  passing of our cherished brother, son, nephew, uncle, and friend, Eric James Kemp, whose life was tragically cut short by fentanyl poisoning. Eric had a remarkable ability to deeply care for others, and we continue to reciprocate that love wholeheartedly. In honor of his precious life, our mission is to raise awareness, educate communities, and advocate for policy change to strengthen penalties for those involved in the illicit distribution and trafficking of fentanyl. We strive to spark a transformative shift in society's understanding of this crisis, empower affected families, and foster safer communities for all. 


The name "Sparky" was inspired by Eric's deep passion for his alma mater, ASU, where he represented ASU as Sparky the Sun Devil mascot for four memorable years. Our logo's colors, dark green and gold, pay homage to Eric's lifelong favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.
